Turbocharged Diesel Engine
The trucks are powered by a 5.2L turbocharged inline-four diesel engine, incorporating direct injection technology. It produces 215 horsepower at 2,500 RPM and an impressive 452 lb-ft of torque at 1,850 RPM. It’s mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The N-Series diesel trucks include several models that support different GVWRs, including the class 4 NPR-HD, class 4 NPR-XD, and class 5 NRR. GVWR ranges from 14,500 to 19,500 pounds. All models come in Standard Cab or Crew Cab configurations. Standard Cab varieties seat three passengers across a wide bench seat, while Crew Cab models accommodate up to seven with a four-person bench seat in the second row.
Low Cab Forward Design
The low cab forward design places the driver above the front axle and close to the road, which provides excellent forward visibility compared to conventional cab trucks. This enables easier navigation around tight corners and pedestrian-heavy areas. Peripheral vision is also enhanced by A-pillars that do not extend in front of the driver.
New Front Fascia
The front fascia has been redesigned to provide better aerodynamics and functionality. The new grille integrates a cross-flow air intake system, which improves airflow to the engine. The bumper now has a three-piece design that makes it easier and more cost-effective to replaced damaged sections. All lights have been updated to LED bulbs, which reduces costs and improves visibility.
Flexible Fuel Tank Options
The standard 30-gallon fuel tank is stainless steel, corrosion resistant, and includes a fuel return and supply port to accommodate auxiliary equipment. Optional side-mounted aluminum tanks in 35- or 55-gallon sizes enable greater driving ranges, which is especially beneficial for more rural or remote areas.

Isuzu provides excellent factory warranties for their commercial vehicles. The Basic Limited Warranty, Frame Rails Limited Warranty, and Cab Structure Limited Warranty all last 3 years with unlimited miles. The Anti-Perforation Corrosion Warranty lasts for 4 years with unlimited miles, while the Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts for 5 years or 200,000 miles.
